L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Montpellier remain interested in signing 21-year-old French central defender William Bianda from Italian side AS Roma.

Bianda spent the last season on loan at Zulte-Waregem, but only made 7 appearances for them and the Belgian side chose not to activate a €3.5m option to buy the player.

AS Roma have placed the player on the transfer list – he has a contract through until 2023 with the Serie A side.

MHSC have been interested in his profile – they are exploring either a loan deal or a free transfer with a major sell-on percentage fee clause for Roma down the line.
