Tale of the Tape: Cena vs. HHH
In one of the most random matches in recent memory, Triple H and John Cena will collide this Friday at WWE Greatest Royal Rumble in a monstrous singles match that has received almost zero promotion in comparison to everything else on the show. The company posted a Tale of the Tape for the bout, which lists the biggest accolades for both men as well as their record against each other in high profile contests.
Several WWE Superstars have suffered difficulties in getting to WWE Raw tonight in Montreal with travel delays causing major problems.
Many WWE talents from the Raw brand have had their connecting flights to Montreal canceled following a full day of travel back to America from Saudi Arabia, which has led to incredibly long travel days for them.
The talents involved are those who flew to New York City to see families for a small amount of time, but instead, they have ended up having to rent a car and drive all the way to Canada.
25 hours straight of travel. Finally home for half a day then off to Montreal for @WWE #Raw. Don’t say we don’t go to great lengths for y’all.

17hrs home to see my girls. Now back on the road to Montreal for #RAW #wwe @WWE
Talking Smack was a game changer for WWE and when the company announced that it was scrapping the show there was some serious disappointment amongst both fans, and WWE Superstars because it really did provide a platform for the talent to express themselves openly, showcasing their personality.
Rather than just following the rigid scripts that they were handed, the wrestlers were able to voice their own opinions, sparking a newly found interest in them from the fans as the wrestlers were able to create their own narrative rather than following another.
The show created epic moments such as the infamous promo battle between The Miz and Daniel Bryan and the show really did wonders for peoples careers such as Miz, or Baron Corbin. The dynamic between the talent and Bryan made the GM role feel more realistic and it is a show that WWE really needs to consider bringing back. Not only does it give fans another reason to have the WWE Network, but it offers so many positives as there are countless superstars who could benefit from it, and we are going to rank five of them right now.
Bullet Club member, Cody Rhodes has shared an image with the number of emails he has been receiving, stating that he doesn’t read them.
Cody claimed that he always tells people not to email him as he doesn’t check them, and used the image as proof of that fact, given that he has 1,000 unread emails on his phone.
Legit. I tell people all the time, "don't e-Mail me, I don't check em"
People insist. Wtf. Texting is the same as e-Mailing. Don't e-Mail me ha. pic.twitter.com/ktPWZYMIKL

McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo says that he’s on board with the changes that he has heard proposed to make Spa’s Eau Rouge/Raidillon sequence safer.
Long acknowledged as the most difficult and challenging corner in Formula 1, Spa-Francorchamp’s daunting uphill sweep has been the scene of a number of serious incidents in recent years.
Anthoine Hubert was tragically killed in an accident there in 2019, with Juan Manuel Correa suffering severe leg injuries in the same incident.
Last month, Williams F1 reserve driver Jack Aitken sustained fractures to his collarbone and vertebra after an accident during the Spa 24 Hours GT World Challenge Endurance Cup.

And on Friday, a multi-car pile-up during qualifying for the W Series resulted in two drivers being sent to hospital for medical evaluations.
That was followed 24 hours by a huge shunt for Ricciardo’s McLaren team mate Lando Norris when he aqua-planed off at the start of the final round of qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Norris himself had warned of the dangerous conditions before the accident while Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel had called for a red flag because of the heavy rain. Ricciardo also had a near miss in the treacherous conditions.
“I was on the radio, saying the conditions, and then I had like an aquaplane in seventh gear,” said the McLaren driver who qualified P4 for Sunday’s race.
“I basically said, ‘Oh ****!’ – and I think that was my way of saying this is not safe!
“I guess I could have been more direct and said, ‘Guys, we need to red flag it!’ I did say I think it’s the right call to red flag it.
“But it’s tough because you don’t want to be the guy saying I don’t want to drive. But the truth is, the conditions just weren’t safe enough. But that’s Spa, you get these conditions.
I never thought we would have ended the session on intermediates. I have no idea how the track dried like that. It’s so unpredictable,” he added. “Obviously in hindsight we didn’t have to go out that session. Well learn from it.”
After his accident, Norris was dispatched to hospital and has been given the all-clear to race tomorrow – provided the team can rebuild his shattered car which means that a pit lane start is all but inevitable.
“It was a big one today obviously. I believe Lando radioed in straightaway saying he’s OK for the most part so he’s getting medical checks now and we’ll keep in touch with the team and hear how he’s doing.”
Ricciardo said that it was inevitable that the circuit would need to take action to stop so many repeated serious accidents taking place at Eau Rouge and Raidillon in recent years.
“I think they’re going to open up,” he suggested. “So not change the layout of the circuit, but push back the barriers and all that and try to open it all up.
“It’s obviously an extremely fun corner and an iconic corner on the calendar but when it goes wrong it’s always a big one,” he added.
“If it doesn’t change the shape but just increases safety, of course we’re on board with that.”

During the latest episode of the Steve Austin Show, the WWE Hall Of Famer talked at length about Shawn Michaels and their WrestleMania 14 match, admitting they did not shake hands afterward. Below are some highlights with a H/T to WrestlingInc.com for the quotes.
Not shaking his hand:
“Proper etiquette is if you work a match with somebody, whether you’re working heel, baby, it doesn’t matter, new to the territory or been around, you always thank the guy you work with.” Austin explained, “that’s just what you do. Whether you knocked it out of the park or whether you s–t the bed, you always go thank the person that you worked with. So there wasn’t any animosity between me and Shawn. Me and Shawn we always cool. He just wasn’t in a good place and we just didn’t know if he was going to get in the ring. And there were a couple of stories about The Undertaker taping up his hands and stuff like that. Shawn was late to a few things, but there was never any heat between me and Shawn. Man, as long as I’ve known Shawn, we’ve never had heat. He was just in a bad place in that time in his life. He had a bad back and he wasn’t thrilled about dropping the [world]title, but he certainly did and he was a complete pro about it. But I do not remember getting a chance to shake his hand or talk about the match.”
“I had worked with Shawn at house shows many times before that and we had absolutely ripped the roof off of these places having these matches, just calling it on the spot, calling it on the fly. Shawn was always cool with me calling the matches because 90% of the time, he was calling his own matches because that’s how Shawn worked. And I was used to calling my matches, so he was like, ‘dude, you want to call the match?’ It gives him a night off. You’re talking about hands down probably the best worker in the history of the business, and he’s going to let you call a match, so he can take the night off and just do his part, he’s down for it. I don’t remember shaking his hand after that match.” Austin added, “but never any heat, but that’s what you do. You shake people’s hand after. You’re trusting this person with your life, basically.”
On HBK being the greatest of all time:
“Anyway, he shows up at the press conference that was for me, and Mike Tyson, and Vince [McMahon], or whoever it was, to answer questions.” Austin recalled, “and Shawn left, but Shawn was totally cool after that. And Shawn is probably one of the people I keep in contact with most. I mean, we don’t call each other everyday, obviously, but I give him a call every three to four months just to see how he’s doing, what’s going on, how the ranch is doing or if he’s able to get out and enjoy the woods anymore now that he’s down there working in Orlando [Florida] at the [WWE] Performance Center. And he’s doing really well and he’s happy. But I keep in contact or regular contact just to shoot the breeze with one of the guys and he’s one of my all-time favorites. I really think from bell-to-bell, Shawn Michaels was probably the best to ever do it in the business of professional wrestling. That’s my opinion. When it comes to well-rounded, athletic, storytelling, psychology, everything, performance, Shawn is the guy.”
As noted, this week’s WWE Raw drew its lowest audience so far in 2018, averaging 2.494 million viewers on Memorial Day.
In addition to the show drawing the lowest number so far in 2018, this week’s WWE Raw also drew the second lowest amount of viewers in the history of Monday Night Raw. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, only the September 26th, 2016 edition of WWE Raw, which went up against the Presidential Debate and Monday Night Football, has drawn lower in show history, averaging 2.478 million viewers.
