The semi-final matches for the 2019 King of the Ring tournament were set following yesterday’s Smackdown show.
Over at Raw, Baron Corbin went over Cedric Alexander while Samoa Joe and Ricochet pinned each other. Rather than restarting the match, they decided to do a first and have Corbin vs Joe vs Ricochet in a triple threat match as the semi-final.
Meanwhile on Smackdown, Elias defeated Ali and Chad Gable defeated Andrade in the surprise of the night. Elias and Ali will now go head-to-head next week.
Both matches will take place at Madison Square Garden on the September 9 Raw and September 10 Smackdown ahead of the KOTR final match at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view later in the week.Click Here:

Becky Lynch featured in new ESPN “This Is SportsCenter” commercials
Raw Women’s champion Becky Lynch will be featured in a few ESPN commercials that will be running on TV and social media, joining other sports personalities as part of the new This Is SportsCenter campaign.
The first commercial is titled What’s My Name? and sees Becky going to ESPN Cafe where she’s about to order a coffee. “Name?” says the barista. That trips Becky, who replies, “Name? What’s my name? Have you been hiding under a rock?” And then she explains who she is as the history-making, game-changing, WrestleMania headliner, champ champ and Becky two-belts. Lynch delivers the lines in very quick and funny manner that leaves the barista speechless. Once Becky is done, the barista says, “For the cup…”
The second commercial is called Vending Machine and sees ESPN’s Jay Williams trying to get something from a vending machine which isn’t working. Becky walks by and Williams asks her to help him get the candy bar unstuck. “Stuck, huh? I think I can help you out,” Becky says as she warms up a little bit. Then as she’s about to throw a punch she grabs the nearby phone and in a polite manner asks for facilities to come and help with the machine.
The Raw Women’s champ is also in a 15-second commercial titled Push which will only run on social media and online.

No broadcast partner yet for AEW Dynamite in the United Kingdom
While All Elite Wrestling nailed a big broadcast partner in the United States, it’s still missing a very important TV partner in what could be their second-largest market: the United Kingdom.
While previous AEW shows have been picked up by ITV Box Office, the network has not yet confirmed that it will be the new home of AEW in the UK despite rumors earlier in the week suggesting that the show will air on ITV4.
Alex McCarthy from TalkSPORT discussed the TV situation with AEW Executive Vice Presidents The Young Bucks, but the two remained tight lipped on the negotiations.
“I wish I could shout what I know from the rooftops,” Matt Jackson said, with his brother Nick not promising that everything will be sorted by the time the first episode airs on October 2. “I don’t want to say yes and then it’s not,” Nick said.
When asked if AEW Dynamite will be live and other specific details concerning the UK market, both refrained from commenting due to the ongoing negotiations although they did make note that the UK is a “very valuable market” and are doing their utmost to seal the deal soon.Click Here:

Now, some have posted to us on social media that PAC is “done” with AEW now and that is why he took a pinfall loss on Dynamite – Not something he does often. We’ve not heard anything to substantiate that. But, keep that in mind as the next few weeks go by. PAC was supposed to face Jon Moxley next week on Dynamite.Click Here:
Jericho Wants his Title Match with Darby Allin to be a “Philadelphia Street Fight”
All Elite Wrestling has announced that the AEW World title match between Chris Jericho and Darby Allin on next Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite is now a Philadelphia street fight. ‘Le Champion’ made the challenge himself in a new promo, and also said he’s bringing ‘The Painmaker.’
He said: “You all saw what happened tonight. After 29 years in the wrestling business, I’ve seen and done it all. But what I’ve never seen is a self-righteous son of a bitch skateboard down a rampway and attack me, attack le champion, from behind, after a hard match. After fighting Dustin Rhodes, and Cody Rhodes and Hangman Page and Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson and MJF and Dr. J and Benedict Arnold and Abraham Lincoln and David Lee Roth and whoever the hell else was out there. Darby Allin, he couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He beat Jimmy Havoc, he gets a chance to face ‘le champion’ in Philadelphia for the AEW Heavyweight Championship. It’s the biggest match of his career. But he had to take it too far. He had to come out and attack me from behind like some kind of a dog, like some kind of a street thug. I’m an educated man, Darby. I’ve got morals. I’ve got jin ne sais quoi. But I grew up on the streets. I grew up on the mean streets of Winnipeg. You wanna fight? You wanna attack? You wanna treat me like some kind of a street thug? Sounds good to me. Because next week, we’re in Philadelphia! That’s the place where my father Ted Irvine used to beat the crap out of the Philadelphia Flyers each and every night when he played with the New York Rangers. So you want to come to Philly? You want to treat me like a street thug? I’m gonna treat you like the little bitch that you are, Darby Allin, because next week, for the AEW Championship, Darby Allin vs. Chris Jericho in a Philadelphia Street Fight. One last thing. You want to try and cause some pain? I don’t cause pain. I make the pain. Next week? Chris Jericho’s not going to be in Philadelphia, but the Painmaker will be. I’ll see you then, Darby. It’s going to be the match of your career. It’s also going to be the last one. You’re welcome.”
