Speaking at a press conference this morning, Lyon manager Bruno Génésio confirmed that the club was actively attempting to sign Manchester United winger Memphis Depay, labelling him “a priority”.

“Memphis is a priority. He is complete, powerful and has great potential. Contrary to what I have read, I am a fan of Memphis.”

Sky Sports reported that the offer that Lyon have recently had rejected by Manchester United for Memphis Depay’s services was at the €15m mark, only €2m shy of the Red Devils’ reported €17m price-tag.

Talks continue.
