It appears yesterday’s Champions Cup win came at a cost for Leigh Halfpenny

YOU MIGHT REMEMBER the curious case of Leigh Halfpenny’s missing tooth from last month when he appeared on Sky Sports following Toulon’s Champions Cup semi-final win over Leinster.

The Welsh fullback was interviewed shortly after the game in Marseille and presenter Alex Payne asked him where his front tooth had disappeared to.

Halfpenny revealed it was his fake tooth that had fallen out during the game but nobody quite knows when the 26-year-old permanently lost one of his gnashers.

He’ll have to pay another visit to the dentist though after losing a second tooth during Saturday’s Champions Cup final triumph over Clermont. Halfpenny kicked 14 points in his sides’ narrow 24-18 win at Twickenham but it came at a cost.
