WWE has announced a SmackDown Live Women’s Championship match for WWE Royal Rumble with Becky Lynch getting her rematch.

Despite the fact it was announced by the McMahon’s that automatic title rematches were no longer happening, the company announced that Lynch will be getting her rematch at the WWE Royal Rumble.

The announcement came during this week’s episode of WWE Main Event, of all places, with a graphic for the match being shown during the show.

Many fans had expected The Man to be in the Royal Rumble match itself with Lynch being one of the firm favorites to win the match and potentially face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Lynch won’t appear in the Rumble. If WWE puts the title match on prior to the 30-woman over the top rope elimination match and Lynch loses, she could certainly still appear into the Rumble.
