Juventus and Bayern Munich prepared to do battle in transfer market for 21-year-old Man United starlet

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has emerged as a primary transfer target for Juventus and Bayern Munich.

According to ESPN, the young shot-stopper signed a fresh two-year contract at Old Trafford last summer and United have the option to extend that deal by an extra year, but several top European clubs are monitoring his progress.

ESPN reports that Juventus and Bayern Munich are already preparing offers for the 21-year-old starlet, with a possible summer transfer market battle now on the cards.

Henderson has not yet made his senior debut for the Red Devils and at the moment he is plying his trade in the Championship with Sheffield United, on a season-long loan.

The Englishman has impressed for the Blades during the 2018-19 campaign, featuring in 30 matches to help the team rise to third in the league table, with realistic aspirations of promotion to the Premier League come May.

Henderson has already represented England at U-21 level and he has been tipped for a bright future at club level, with some suggestion that he could be the long-term natural successor to David De Gea between the sticks at United.

However, he is a long way from earning his place in the Red Devils first team yet, with Sergio Romero also ahead of him in the pecking order as United’s second choice goalkeeper.

If Bayern or Juve do indeed launch formal bids at the end of the season, Henderson will have a huge decision to make. Regular football is the only way for him to develop quickly and reach his potential, but those kind of opportunities are unlikely to be forthcoming at United just yet.

If he is willing to bide his time and accept more loan moves in the near future, his Old Trafford career could still take off but if he is anxious to take that next step forward in his career ahead of schedule, a permanent move abroad might just be too tempting to turn down.

Jose Mourinho eyeing €50M La Liga hitman to be his first signing back as Real Madrid manager

Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked Real Madrid to make a move for Portugal and AC Milan forward Andre Silva, a player who’s currently on loan at Sevilla.

This is according to Don Balon, who note that the 55-year-old has requested that the club make Silva his first signing as manager of Los Blancos.

The report also states that Silva’s arrival would set the Spanish giants back around €50M, a small price to pay for a player of his quality.

Since joining Sevilla from AC Milan on loan in the summer just gone, Silva has been in fine form for Pablo Machin’s side.

The Portuguese sensation has scored eight times in 19 La Liga appearances for Sevilla, a decent record that most strikers would be proud to call their own.

Madrid have been more than abysmal in front of goal this season, with the club only managing to bag a total of 30 goals in 20 league outings, a number that’s nearly half of the 56 goals league-leaders Barcelona have managed.

Mourinho wants Silva to join him in his second reign as Real Madrid manager

The club are yet to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo following his move to Juventus in the summer, however their goal scoring problems could very well be solved should they manage to bring in Silva.

The 23-year-old would be a fine signing for Real to make, and it could even be one that ends Karim Benzema’s stint in Real’s first team for the foreseeable future.

Only time will tell us if Real listen to Jose and bring in Sevilla in preparation for his arrival, something we’re sure a lot of fans of the club would be excited to see happen…

Exit close: Man Utd ace agrees personal terms ahead of touted £10m transfer

Man Utd midfielder Marouane Fellaini has reportedly moved closer to an exit from Old Trafford in favour of a move to China.

According to BBC Sport, the Belgian international has agreed personal terms with Shandong Luneng, overcoming a major obstacle in a possible switch.

Further, as noted by respected Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur in his tweet below, it has been suggested that the Chinese outfit will pay the Red Devils £10m to prise the 31-year-old away from Manchester, a fee also reported by the Daily Mail.

Fellaini has been with United since moving from Everton in 2013, and has gone on to make 177 appearances for the club while winning an FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa League.

However, he has struggled throughout to establish himself as a regular starter in the line-up, although he did continue to play a key role for Jose Mourinho prior to the Portuguese tactician’s departure last month.

With Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic being preferred by interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since he took charge, coupled with Fellaini continuing to struggle with injuries, it has seemingly led to him falling down the pecking order.

In turn, it’s easy to see why an exit could be tempting at this stage, although there won’t be a huge rush as the transfer window doesn’t close until the end of next month in China.

With that in mind, there is still plenty of time for the two clubs to reach an agreement on a transfer fee with the £10m bid touted above, although Fellaini reportedly agreeing on personal terms in itself is a huge step towards securing an exit.

Chelsea suffer blow in pursuit for €50m-rated star as European giants enter race

Things at Chelsea look to be going from bad to worse – performances on the pitch are dull, the Blues have been hit with a transfer ban and now it looks like they’ll miss out on this transfer target to one of their European rivals.

According to The Sun via Spanish outlet Sport, Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

Chelsea are one of the sides that are interested in signing the Swiss-born Croatian international, with Barcelona agreeing a deal to sign Ajax sensation Frenkie de Jong, Rakitic is considering his future at the Camp Nou – it’s likely that the star will fall down the pecking order once De Jong arrives.

It may be time for Rakitic to leave the Blaugrana in order to play consistent first-team football.

Ivan Rakitic

The main obstacle Chelsea will now face in their pursuit for Rakitic is that they’ve just been handed a transfer ban by FIFA.

According to The Guardian, the west London club received a two-window ban from Fifa for a ‘serious’ and ‘systematic’ breach of the rules, regarding the signing of overseas players under the age of 18. It’s understood that Chelsea will appeal the decision – this will allow them to sign players in the summer before the suspension kicks in.

According to Sport’s report, Bayern’s interest in the star is a massive blow to Chelsea – it’s understood that the World Cup finalist was keen on a move to Inter Milan but Barcelona aren’t willing to consider any of there proposals given their financial troubles.

Bayern will be keen on landing Rakitic as he has previous Bundesliga experience. The Croatian midfielder spent three-and=a-half-years with Schalke before moving to Sevilla.

Chelsea face fresh transfer blow as club set to try again for unsettled star

Chelsea are reportedly facing a fresh blow to their hopes of keeping Callum Hudson-Odoi as Bayern Munich are expected to try again for a transfer in the summer.

The England youth international has shone in limited appearances at Stamford Bridge this season, looking one of the most exciting young players in the country.

However, Chelsea aren’t exactly renowned for promoting players from their academy, and have ended up losing a lot of top young talent in recent years, such as the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Mohamed Salah.

Hudson-Odoi could be the latest as the Daily Mail claim Bayern are poised to try again to sign the 18-year-old in the summer after being linked with a £35million move for him in January.

Having handed in a transfer request, according to the Mail, it seems likely Hudson-Odoi could still be keen on a summer exit from Chelsea unless there’s a big change to his situation.

Bid made: Arsenal submit £38m package to seal attacker transfer

Arsenal have reportedly made an offer to Inter Milan for the transfer of Ivan Perisic, with an initial loan fee and a further payment for a permanent deal in the future.

The Croatia international has become a top target for the Gunners towards the end of this January’s transfer window, and his signing would surely be a big boost for Unai Emery’s side.

It seems Arsenal are now stepping up efforts to bring Perisic to the Emirates Stadium with a formal offer worth a combined £38million, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

However, the Italian source also suggests Inter are not keen on this proposal as they only want to sanction a permanent sale.

Whether or not Arsenal can persuade Inter to agree to a future sale rather than an immediate one remains to be seen, but it seems the Gunners are doing what they can to get this signing done in the next few days.

Great news for Tottenham: Real Madrid tipped to end interest in €250m-rated star

Real Madrid are reportedly set to end their interest in Christian Eriksen, which will be music to the ears of all concerned at Tottenham.

The 26-year-old creative ace has been hugely influential for Spurs since joining the club from Ajax in 2013, bagging 45 goals and 60 assists in 191 Premier League outings.

As he continues to play a fundamental role for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, the last thing that Tottenham will want is to lose him any time soon.

That has been the overlying threat in recent times, with Real Madrid heavily linked with a swoop. However, as noted by AS, the Spanish giants are said to be set to drop their interest in the Danish international.

It’s added that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was set to demand €250m for Eriksen, while the financial aspect of the deal does seem to be the main factor as to why a move won’t materialise, as it’s noted that Real Madrid expect his price-tag to be much higher than they deem realistic.

That’s not the first time that €250m valuation has been mentioned, with Marca suggesting that was the price involved last year too.

Nevertheless, there is still one key reason as to why Spurs will remain nervous over an exit, as Eriksen’s current contract only runs until 2020. With that in mind, they will surely not want to go into the last year of his deal with uncertainty over his future, and Tottenham fans will undoubtedly hope that a new agreement is reached well in advance of that.

Time will tell if it’s that simple, but based on the statistics above and Eriksen’s overall influence on Tottenham’s style of play, he is a player that they can’t afford to lose if they wish to continue to scrap for top-four finishes in the Premier League and kick on in their pursuit of trophies.

Deal closer: Manchester United put in pole position to clinch £128million DOUBLE transfer after huge developments

Manchester United have received two bits of positive transfer news today that can give their fans plenty to be optimistic about in regards to potential signings of both Gareth Bale and Matthijs de Ligt.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked with both players for some time now, and it seems like things are moving into place nicely for them to snap up both in this summer’s transfer window.

Matthijs de Ligt in action for Ajax

Firstly, a report from Don Balon suggests Barcelona – previously the favourites for De Ligt – are set to cool their interest in the 20-year-old Dutchman as they’re happy with their current defensive options.

This is good news for United, who are also linked by Don Balon as still being in the running, as they’ll face one less major rival in the running for his signature.

Given that De Ligt is available for just £60million this summer, that should give the Premier League giants little trouble meeting his asking price and bringing in the world class centre-back they so urgently need.

(Photo) Barcelona star all but confirms Denis Suarez transfer to Arsenal with Instagram message

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has appeared to confirm Denis Suarez is set for a transfer to Arsenal with this goodbye message on Instagram.

The Uruguay international can be seen hugging the Spanish midfielder, who is expected to join the Gunners on loan for the rest of the season.

BBC Sport’s David Ornstein has also suggested this move is close, and one imagines players feeling free to post stuff like this means it’s now pretty likely to all go through.

Luis Suarez posted this on Instagram

Suarez looks a promising signing for Arsenal in a problem position for the club, despite not featuring regularly for Barca in recent times.

Unai Emery knows the 25-year-old from Sevilla as well, so fans will hope the pair can strike up a strong relationship at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United joined by Liverpool and Tottenham in race to seal transfer of South American maestro

It looks like Manchester United are going to have to beat both Liverpool and Spurs in the race to sign Boca Juniors and Colombia star Wilmar Barrios.

According to Don Balon, all three of the aforementioned Premier League clubs are keen on signing the Colombian international, with it also being noted that the 25-year-old is a very similar player to Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

Barrios has managed to make himself one of Boca’s most important players in recent years, with the midfielder playing a big part in the club reaching the Copa Libertadores final this year, a match which Boca lost to fierce rivals River Plate.

United are somewhat lacking in defensive midfielders, as the club only really have Nemanja Matic available to play in that role to a world class level, thus it sort of makes sense to hear that they’re keen on signing Barrios.

Given Spurs’ lack of transfer activity in both the most recent summer and winter windows, it’s no surprise to hear that they’re keen on signing players, especially one as good as Barrios.

The Colombian would be a fine signing for Spurs, as he would allow manager Mauricio Pochettino another quality option to choose from in the centre of the park.

United, Spurs and Liverpool are all in the race to bring Barrios to the Premier League

Liverpool don’t exactly need Barrios given the fact that they already have players like Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to choose from in defensive midfield, however we’re sure it wouldn’t hurt to have another fine player to pick from in midfield.

It’s definitely going to be interesting to see which club comes out on top in the race for Barrios, with the winner of said race set to get their hands on one of the best defensive midfielders to come out of South America in recent years.
