WWE’s most successful show every single year continues to be Wrestlemania. The event has become celebrated among wrestling fans as it features numerous shows from multiple promotions with each company doing all that they can to outdo the other. Wrestlemania 33 concluded in Orlando, Florida earlier this year, and the company is reportedly in the process of stacking their Wrestlemania 34 lineup in New Orleans in April 2018. Fans may be in the process of planning their trips down to Louisiana at the moment, but it appears that the company may have already begun the early stages of preparation for Wrestlemania 35 in 2019.

The location for each Wrestlemania event is typically announced sometime in January every year, until then, the locations are still in the ‘rumored’ stages. Social media users TicketDrew and DeArron Easley, both of whom have broken several stories on WWE in the past, have confirmed that WWE appears to be in the final stages of selecting a city for the event in 2019. Detroit, Michigan is reported to be the top choice at the moment, and it looks like New York City and Philadelphia are also said to be in the running as well. Minneapolis, which had previously been rumored to host the event, is reportedly no longer being considered to host the event.

As previously reported, several fans have not been to enamored with the idea of WWE positioning The Ultimate Warrior as a hero due to the controversial statements that he made during his lifetime. A VICE Sports article calling out WWE on their choice to honor Warrior went viral this week, which promoted Warrior’s widow Dana to say that her husband’s views were mostly changed once he had his two daughters. WWE responded to the VICE article recently by stating: “WWE’s ‘Unleash Your Warrior’ breast cancer awareness campaign and annual ‘Warrior Award’ recognize individuals that exhibit the strength and courage of WWE’s legendary character The Ultimate Warrior. Any attempt to distract from the mission of these initiatives and take the spotlight away from the honorees is unfortunately misguided.” WWE’s breast cancer awareness campaign with Susan G. Komen usually ends after October, but the company will still be distributing the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame each year.
