News on Battleground Slow Ticket Sales & Prices Being Discounted

As has been the trend in WWE for the past couple of months, WWE has found themselves again in another dilemma when it comes to slow ticket sales. This Sunday’s Battleground PPV has still a lot of tickets that has not been sold. As a result, WWE has cut the prices of the tickets.
The seats that were sold at $125 have been cut to $75, the tickets that were sold at $75 have been discounted to $55 and the tickets that were sold at $55 are now down to $25. WWE is pushing the fact that you can get in the show and see the show live for only $25.
Even though Smackdown Live have John Cena, their shows have proven to be much more difficult to sell than shows that are feature Raw Superstars. In terms of Battleground, another factor that could be affecting ticket sales is that the venue that they are in. The Wells Fargo Center can hold up to 15,000 seats, making it larger than any normal arena that they run in.
