The Croatian-born Omazic attended the European Institue of Design in Milan, after which she worked for Romeo Gigli for a year before joining the Prada Group. She garnered experience working on Prada Sport and Jil Sander, then moved on to her role as women’s ready-to-wear design coordinator at Miu Miu. The 32-year-old joined Celine in April of this year.

Omazic replaces Roberto Menichetti, who resigned in May following two inauspicious seasons. Rumour has it that Celine interviewed designers Isabel Toledo, Veronique Branquinho and former Gucci designer Alessandra Facchinetti, before selecting Omazic.
