Speaking to TYC Sports, Racing Club striker Roger Martinez’s agent Fernando Lopez’s comments appear to suggest that Ligue 1 side Lyon have given up the chase.

Lopez had the following to say:

“Lyon’s last offer was rejected and Racing’s representatives are waiting. The club believes that they will get other offers, but for the moment there are not any. The offer from Lyon was worth €6m and we thought that this would be enough, even if Racing are in a different frame of mind. The representatives are defending the interests of the club, but these offers are still important.. following the rejection I am not sure that the French club will come back with a new offer.”
