As diplomats rush to put the final touches to a historic summit between Donald Trump, the US president, and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, one of the trickiest political questions remains unresolved – who will pick up cash-strapped North Korea’s massive Singapore hotel bills?
The Fullerton, an imposing neoclassical hotel made of Aberdeen granite named after Robert Fullerton, a 19th century Scottish colonial governor, is said to be the preferred accommodation of the North Korean delegation for the June 12 meeting.
But the delicate issue of who will pay the tab at the hotel, where a presidential suite costs more than £4,500 a night, is a headache for US and North Korean planning teams, reported…
