Backstage Clarification Of Daniel Bryan’s WWE Contract Status and Future

Both Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract status and future in the company has been the subject of much speculation and rumor as of late, as Bryan’s contract is set to expire on September 1st of this year.

It was reported before WWE Extreme Rules this past weekend that Bryan had signed a new, two-year deal with WWE, but further reports have claimed there is no truth to that report and Bryan has yet to re-sign with the company.

Within the past few days, yet another rumor has been circulating online claiming Bryan rejected a contract offer that WWE made him, and that is also untrue.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, nothing has changed with regards to Daniel Bryan’s WWE status and he has neither signed a new deal with WWE nor has he rejected any offers WWE has made him for a new contract.

“Everyday I wake up, and Daniel Bryan has signed, except he hasn’t signed,” clarified Meltzer. “Then today it was like he turned down an offer, and I was like, ‘I don’t think that happened either.’ This is weird. A lot of stuff is out there it’s really, really weird. I don’t know what to say.”
