L’Équipe report that in recent hours AS Monaco have accelerated talks for Montpellier right-back Ruben Aguilar. This news is unsurprising, as Everton appear set to land French international right-back Djibril Sidibé.

Under contract until 2022 with MHSC, Aguilar is now very close to a move to the Principality side, as talks have advanced considerably.

Crystal Palace and AS Monaco have an agreement in principle with Montpellier for right-back Ruben Aguilar worth around €10m, according to L’Équipe correspondent Bertrand Latour.

The player has yet to decide between the two and will do so in the coming hours.
