Kolkata Leads The Way, Will Use Plastic Waste For Strengthening City’s Roads

Plastic is one of the biggest issues facing the environment because it doesn’t decompose and its particles have toxic elements that pollute the ground resources. Its disposal therefore is a huge problem.

Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh earlier this year banned complete use of plastic and asked local vendors and governments to promote the use of paper and jute bags as an alternative. However, Kolkata has a much better solution. They are going by the mantra, if you can’t beat it, better use it!

The city of joy has decided to experiment with plastic to make roads better in the city. The Times of India reported that the Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) has agreed to the use of plastic waste for establishing a kilometre of bituminous road stretch beside City Centre and New Town as an experiment.Click Here: Aston Villa Shop
