Initiating a tough crackdown on the rampant corruption among government officials in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has asked some 200 of them to take voluntary retirement from service.
According to reports, a total of 600 corrupt officials were identified by the government, out of which 400 have been let off with warnings.
ANI reported that CM Adityanath had reviewed the work of the Secretariat Administration department at Lok Bhawan and directed officials to prepare a list of corrupt officers and advised firm action against them.
