Roman took one hell of a beating in this No Disqualification match, with the mischievous Chris Jericho trapped in a shark cage suspended high above the ring. He was splashed through a table by a very large man, assaulted with steel chairs, powerslammed through the announce table, and practically murdered by an angry Braun Strowman who felt compelled to get involved.

For all those who endlessly complain about Roman “always going over”, consider that he lost this match with the world title on the line, elevated Owens and Jericho to a crucial point for their story to really take off, and simultaneously put over a new up-and-coming star in the process.
