The reign of Baron Corbin continued on WWE Raw this week, with the General Manager-elect once again throwing around his newfound weight in a few major ways. This time around, the Lone Wolf’s massive ego has actually cost a long-time legend his job.

WWE ran an angle this Monday night that saw Corbin effectively split up the tag team of Heath Slater and Rhyno, who were at one point the first ever Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

The two were forced to compete against one another with the winner “keeping his job” and the loser being fired from the show. After Slater scored the victory in a one-minute match, WWE officially announced that Rhyno had been fired from their flagship show.

It is unknown whether the ECW legend will land on another brand at some point, or if this actually marks the end of his current run with the company, but we will of course keep you updated as more information becomes available.
