Titus O’Neil Gifts Fan Money

WWE.com has published an article about Titus O’Neil surprising a fan with money to purchase a ticket to NXT Takeover this weekend:

Whether he’s giving backpacks to the Tampa Bay community or buying a wheelchair for a child in need, Titus O’Neil has a reputation for always giving back.

During a SummerSlam meet-and-greet Thursday, O’Neil gave one fan the surprise of a lifetime by gifting her money to go to NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4.

O’Neil said that he didn’t know the backstory behind why she didn’t have the money for tickets; he just sensed her positive vibes.

WWE to Crown the First-Ever NXT UK Women’s Champion This Weekend

As noted, WWE will be holding the next set of NXT UK TV tapings this Saturday and Sunday at the NEC Birmingham in Birmingham, England.

It looks like two of WWE’s female UK talents, including Killer Kelly and Nina Samuels, might have spoiled potential plans for this weekend’s tapings, as the two stars noted on Twitter that they will be vying for the NXT UK Women’s Title this weekend, indicating WWE might be crowning its first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion during the tapings.

Killer Kelly has since deleted her Tweet hyping the tapings, but below is a transcription of what she posted:

“I’m used to first evers. It’s time to repeat it this weekend in Birmingham, ????????. NXT UK, I will become your first EVER Women’s champion.”

Yann Moix et “les femmes de 50 ans” : l’écrivain défendu par Marlène Schiappa

Marlène Schiappa, secrétaire d’Etat chargée de l’égalité entre les femmes et les hommes et de la lutte contre les discriminations, a pris clairement position et a volé au secours de Yann Moix.

Après la vive polémique suscitée en janvier dernier par une interview du magazine Marie-Claire dans laquelle l’écrivain et réalisateur de 50 ans affirmait ne pas être attiré par les femmes de plus de 50 ans, Marlène Schiappa a profité de son passage dans l’émission Chez Moix sur Paris Première pour dire sans tourner autour du pot – et face au principal intéressé – ce qu’elle a pensé de cette séquence.

Elle a retracé : “Il y a un homme qui écrit un livre sur une rupture [Le livre Rompre, NDLR]. Dans ce livre, il ne parle pas de l’âge de la personne avec qui il a rompu. Je ne suis même pas sûre qu’il parle à un moment de ses propres préférences sexuelles dans ce livre (…) Dans son interview pour Marie-Claire, il dit des choses extrêmement intéressantes. Il parle de son enfance et c’est rarissime que des hommes publics disent publiquement qu’ils ont été maltraités. Il parle de ses névroses et de ce qui l’amène à préférer tel ou tel type de femmes.”

Et Marlène Schiappa de poursuivre, en reprochant à la journaliste de Marie-Claire d’avoir cherché le buzz : “Et voilà que son propos devient : ‘Les femmes de cinquante ans sont indésirables ! Il faut taper sur Yann Moix !’ Et moi on m’interroge en me disant : ‘Vous qui êtes ministre et qui défendez les femmes, qu’avez-vous à dire à Yann Moix ? C’est scandaleux ce qu’il a dit sur les femmes !’ Mais moi je n’ai rien à lui dire ! Depuis quand on doit rendre compte des gens qui nous attirent sexuellement ou dont on tombe amoureux ?”

Pour conclure, Marlène Schiappa a reconnu qu’elle savait à l’avance que sa prise de position allait lui apporter bien des remarques. “Je sais que moi-même je vais me faire probablement lyncher sur les réseaux sociaux pour avoir dit ça“, a-t-elle lâché.

Jamie Hayter signs with AEW, appears on Rampage

Jamie Hayter returned to AEW on tonight’s Rampage, aligning herself with Britt Baker.

Baker defeated Red Velvet to retain the AEW Women’s title on tonight’s show. After the match, Baker continued to attack Velvet. Kris Statlander, who was in the crowd, came into the ring and confronted Baker. A woman in a hood then came in and attacked Statlander, revealing herself to be Hayter. Baker curb stomped Velvet into the Women’s title to end the show.

AEW’s social media later confirmed that Hayter had signed with the promotion.

Hayter made several appearances for AEW in 2019, losing to Baker in a match that took place in October that year on Dynamite. She also made an appearance on an episode of NXT UK in January 2020, losing to Piper Niven (now Doudrop on Raw).

Hayter has appeared for RevPro in the United Kingdom, where she has held the British Women’s Championship, and Stardom in Japan, where she held the SWA Undisputed World Championship. She had to vacate the British Women’s Championship back in June when she accepted a tryout offer from NXT UK that took place on the same night of a RevPro show.

“Pour vous dire la vérité, très souvent, j’ai des commentaires (…) disant : ‘Quand on a une ribambelle de nounous à la maison, qu’on a ce niveau de vie, qu’on travaille dans ce milieu-là, c’est facile d’avoir plein d’enfants.’ Et ça, c’est vrai que c’est des a priori qui peuvent persister un petit peu…“, lance d’abord cette maman de deux paires de jumeaux, Jules et Rose (11 ans) et Joséphine et Léonard (5 ans). Et de se justifier : “Moi, je vis dans un tout petit village, celui dans lequel j’ai grandi. Je fais mes courses au supermarché du coin, je n’ai pas de nounou. Si je suis en galère, j’appelle ma mère et, quand je ne suis pas là, c’est mon mari qui s’occupe de ses enfants, de nos enfants.“

Finalement, l’ex-Miss France désormais animatrice sur 6ter explique avoir “juste l’impression d’avoir la même vie que [ses] copines” qu’elle fréquente depuis le collège et le lycée. “Je dis ça parce que, souvent, on a une image un peu erronée du milieu dans lequel j’évolue parce que certains ont un autre niveau de vie ou une autre façon de vivre, lance la jolie blonde. Mais je peux vous assurer que je travaille souvent jusqu’à 16 heures par jour.“

En bref, Élodie Gossuin assure qu’avec son mari Bertrand Lacherie et leurs quatre enfants, elle a “une vie tout à fait normale“. “On vit au milieu de la nature (…). Quand je rentre chez moi, je mets mes bottes en caoutchouc pour aller nourrir mes poules, je suis dans la boue“, confie-t-elle. Et de conclure : “De toute façon, notre vie n’est pas luxueuse, c’est juste que je fais ce qui m’éclate !“

NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament Semifinals Announced for 8/26 TV Tapings SPOILERS

WWE has taped the first round of a small tournament to crown the first ever NXT UK Women’s Champion, as a part of a two-day taping event in Birmingham, England.

It is still unknown exactly when WWE plans to begin releasing episodes of NXT UK television, or even how they plan to distribute the show both domestically and internationally. We hope to have an update on that situation very soon.

WWE NXT Superstar, Adam Cole tweeted about how proud he was of his partner, Britt Baker for her efforts during the fantastic fatal four-way at All IN.

Baker competed against Madison Rayne, Chelsea Green, and the eventual match-winner, Tessa Blanchard in a brilliant match and Cole tweeted Baker to let her know how proud he was. Baker entered the ring to Adam Cole’s old ROH theme song.

Big Cass Undergoes Another Name Change for Independent Wrestling Return

As noted, former WWE star Big Cass will be making his independent return since being released by WWE on September 21st and 22nd, as his 90-day no compete clause is set to expire with WWE. The debut will be for Big Time Wrestling, and initial advertisements had Cass listed as “Big Cazz” on the indie scene, but his name has since been changed to “Big C” on event advertisements as seen below.

Cass will be facing former Impact Wrestling star James Storm at the September 22nd event, and the event on the 21st will feature names such as Mick Foley and Tenille Dashwood:
