Ring of Honor has announced that lucha-libre star Flamita tore his meniscus while teaming with Bandido in a tag bout against the Briscoes at last Sunday’s Free Enterprise event. ROH’s Kevin Eck states that Flamita will be unable to work the Bound By Honor and Gateway To Honor shows at the end of the month. He currently holds the ROH Six Man championship along with fellow luchadors Bandido and Rey Horus.
The report states that Bandido and Horus will continue to tag during the tour, with PJ Black and Brian Johnson replacing Flamita during certain matchups. No timetable for a return has been revealed.
Hoka One One have announced the signing of triple Ironman World Champion Jan Frodeno on a multi-year deal that will see the German triathlon superstar wear the brand’s footwear for the next three race seasons.
The German – who won the 2008 Olympic Games and sealed his third Kona title in 2019 – will put his Hoka shoes into action for the next three seasons. The move follows a concerted testing of the France-hailing, California-based footwear brand’s range.
Frodeno, 38, will predominantly opt for Hoka’s Carbon X racing shoes when it comes to competing, while using the Clifton and more heavily-cushioned models for training sessions.
“I want to be at the very top of the game for another three years and, with the support of Hoka, I believe I have the shoes on my feet to do just that,” said the Girona-based Frodeno. “I am heavily invested in high performance – a passion and dedication that’s clearly also shared by the Hoka brand.”
Hoka have claimed the top spot of the Kona Shoe Count, which collates the most popular trainers at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, in 2017 and 2018 (a shoe count didn’t take place in 2019 but Hoka’s Carbon X and Nike’s VaporFly both featured heavily), with top American triathlete Tim O’Donnell wearing them to second place in 2019 and Aussie Sarah Crowley to a third-placed finish. Brit athlete Joe Skipper and Frodeno’s fellow three-time Kona winner, Mirinda Carfrae, are also Hoka athletes.

Yet Frodeno’s move from Asics – who he has raced in since 2003 and broken Iron-distance world records, the Kona course record and recorded Ironman 70.3 world titles while wearing – is a major result for the brand, and displays Frodeno’s continued quest for further triathlon performance gains some 20 years after the start of his triathlon career. “Life is short,” says Frodeno. “The thing you should fear is regretting not trying at the end of it.”

After making his WWE television comeback on the post-Super ShowDown edition of Friday Night SmackDown, John Cena has resurfaced on social media to post his first tweet following the news that he will be returning to the squared circle to face “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36.
On Saturday afternoon, the WWE legend and co-star of the upcoming “Fast 9” film took to social media to share a famous quote, something he does often when logging onto his official Twitter page.
“Vulnerability minus boundaries is not vulnerability,” Cena’s borrowed-quote began. “It is confession, manipulation, desperation, or shock and awe. But it’s not vulnerability.”
The tweet wrapped up with Cena referencing the original author of the quote, Brene’ Brown.
“Vulnerability minus boundaries is not vulnerability. It is confession, manipulation, desperation, or shock and awe. But it’s not vulnerability.” – Brene’ Brown
For those who missed it, the official WWE and WWE On FOX YouTube channels shared the following videos of John Cena’s return and the set-up of his WrestleMania 36 showdown against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt from this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

It’s not every day that the relatively niche sport of triathlon gets compared favourably to football, and have a prominent mention in a national newspaper’s column about the nation’s favourite sport. But these are strange times, and thanks to sports writer Sean Ingle’s recent article for The Guardian, triathlon is being held in high esteem thanks to recent measures taken by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO).
Ingle challenges the morals of the decision many Premiership clubs have taken to furlough their backstage staff, rather than asking their stars to take a pay cut to weather the storm. This is a decision that has earned the clubs much criticism, with even health minister Matt Hancock stepping in with his opinion.
In his column, Ingle says that football would do well to learn from triathlon and the help and support the PTO are showing their athletes: “Three weeks ago the Professional Triathletes Organisation announced it would increase its annual end-of-year bonus scheme from $2m to $2.5m, and immediately paid it out rather than wait until December.
“Realising that triathletes lower down the food chain would need extra help, it gave the extra $500,000 in bonuses just to men and women ranked between 21 and 100 in the world. The world’s top 10 have also committed to doing online appearances and exhibitions and donating all the revenue to lower-ranked triathletes.”

Ingle also cited Sport England, who last week announced a £192m package to help grassroots sport, “including a £20m emergency fund with grants of between £300 and £10,000 for sports clubs and community organisations, those vital but unappreciated capillaries in our society. That comes down to smart leadership. And it matters more than ever.”
STAMFORD, Conn. – March 6, 2020 – WWE today announced that popular radio personality Peter Rosenberg will join the company as an analyst for its monthly pay-per-view kickoff shows beginning this Sunday, March 8 at WWE Elimination Chamber. In his new role, Rosenberg will also serve as a special correspondent for various WWE Network shows and upcoming specials.
“To quote Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XII, working with WWE is the boyhood dream come true,” said Rosenberg. “I am beyond thrilled to rejoin the WWE Universe.”
Peter Rosenberg brings his expertise and insight to sports fans daily as a co-host of ESPN New York’s The Michael Kay Show, which he has helped propel to the number one afternoon drive radio show in New York. In addition, he is frequently featured on ESPN’s national broadcasts, most recently providing color commentary at the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. He also can be heard every weekday morning co-hosting Ebro In The Morning on Hot 97, anchoring one of New York’s most iconic and revered media brands.

HUUB Design have designed a cycling jersey in aid of the NHS. Sporting the message “Better In Than Out” they wanted to help promote the message to stay in. The design also includes the rainbow of ‘hope’ which has become symbolic in the pandemic.
It is priced £49.99 and all profits will go to the NHS Charities Together, which acknowledges and supports NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by COVID-19.
In a statement they said: Here at HUUB, we want to do our bit! We are still trading, and it’s not easy, but let us be realistic, there are some out there risking themselves to serve the sick and with no respite coming for quite some time. They are the ones who ‘just get on with it’, and we wanted to do something, not for profit or glory, but just do something! We understand that what is needed are donations… So, we thought about the message that really needs to be cemented – stay in, train sensibly, only do the essential shopping, look after others, and only go out for exercise and essential work.
“It’s not for us; it’s for them. ‘In’ for now, and when this is all over, and you’re ‘out’, it will act as a reminder of sacrifice for all to see.”
The mystery and speculation surrounding the identity of “The Exalted One” of The Dark Order comes to an end next week in Rochester, New York.
During Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, multiple references were made regarding the mystery identity of “The Exalted One” of The Dark Order faction.
Early in the show, Christopher Daniels of SoCal Uncensored did a parody “#JoinTheDarkOrder” vignette, claiming that there is no “Exalted One.” The SCU member claimed he would prove this by defeating Dark Order members Stu Grayson and Evil Uno in separate singles matches next week, and when no one comes to their rescue, it will prove once and for all that “The Exalted One” is just a myth.
Later in the show, however, a graphic appeared on the big screen advertising that “The Exalted One” of The Dark Order will, in fact, finally be revealed on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite (View Photo Here), with the announcers on the television broadcast confirming the news as well.
AEW Dynamite makes their “Empire State” debut next week, as the weekly TV program emanates from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York on Wednesday, March 18th. Make sure to join us here at Rajah.com on 3/18 for live AEW Dynamite results coverage.
