Even more details regarding the big Mae Young Classic tournament were revealed today. We learned about a few of the rumored participants that will be announced soon. F4WOnline.com revealed a whole list of female participants that are supposedly going to be joining the upcoming tournament. A few names are recognizable, and others are brand new to WWE. As mentioned before, Nixon Newell was going to be taking part in the Mae Young Classic, but has been forced to pull out due to an injury. The announced participants so far include Toni Storm, Kairi Sane, Bianca BelAir, Princesa Sugehit, Lacey Evans, Sarah Logan, Jazzy Gabert, Kavita Devi, Taynara Conti, Abbey Laith, Tessa Blanchard, Dakota Kai, Piper Niven, Rhea Ripley, Sage Beckett, and Vanessa Borne.
We still have a ton of unannounced female talent that is expected to be filling up the remaining sports in the tournament. F4WOnline reports that Shayna Baszler, Rachel Evers/Ellering, Santana Garrett, Renee Michelle, Barbi Hayden, Nicole Savoy, Mercedes Martinez, Marti Belle, and Ayesha Ray are all expected to join the inaugural tournament soon. Those names are sure to help bring the new show some fantastic matches and unforgettable moments as well. Those rumored names would bring the total number of participants up to 25 out of the scheduled 32. Who else could be joining the tournament in the remaining spots? Let the speculation continue.
The speculation won’t be continuing for too much longer though. WWE announced today that they will streaming the Mae Young Classic Parade of Champions on Facebook this Thursday at 6:30 ET. The feature will finally reveal all 32 participants of the new tournament, and could provide some new details on what makes each of them so unique. The show begins taping from Full Sail on July 13th and 14th, and the first four episodes will be available on the WWE Network on August 28th. The company will also feature the Mae Young Classic: Bracketology special on the WWE Network immediately after SummerSlam on August 20th.
