Alors que le procès autour de la succession de Johnny Hallyday pourrait s’éterniser, les avocats de Laeticia Hallyday ont ouvert la porte à un arrangement.

Ils sont prêts à discuter pour trouver un terrain d’entente. Selon les informations de RTL, les deux clans qui bataillent pour le patrimoine de Johnny Hallyday seraient prêts à s’asseoir autour d’une table pour négocier. Alors que la décision du tribunal de Nanterre est attendue pour ce vendredi 13 avril, Laeticia Hallyday et les enfants aînés du Taulier pourraient en effet se diriger vers un arrangement quelle que soit la décision de justice.

Sur fond de droit de regard et d’écoute avant la commercialisation de l’album posthume du rockeur et de gel des biens immobiliers, les relations entre les deux parties se sont brisées autour de la succession de l’artiste. Si la veuve de Johny Hallyday se déchire depuis plusieurs semaines avec David Hallyday et Laura Smet, tout le monde a désormais intérêt à s’entendre. “Le fil n’a jamais été cassé entre nous, aucune porte n’est fermée”a confié un avocat à nos confrères.

California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has approved a plan to allow autonomous light-duty trucks to be tested and used for commercial purposes on state roads.

The Verge reported Wednesday that new applications will start 30 days from Dec. 17, when the plan went into effect. The decision reportedly follows a move from the state’s Office of Administrative Law allowing the testing of autonomous vehicles for delivery use in the state.

If testing is successful, companies like Amazon could begin using cargo vans in the state for purposes such as cargo shipping and home delivery.

“The adoption of these regulations means Californians soon could receive deliveries from an autonomous vehicle provided the company fulfills the requirements,” said California DMV Director Steve Gordon, according to local news affiliate KHTS.

Self-driving vehicles in the state must be under 10,000 pounds under current law, meaning that larger trucks with autonomous driving capabilities will still be prohibited under the policy. The new policy allows pickup trucks, vans and other smaller vehicles to be tested with or without a driver, depending on the specific permit granted by the DMV.

California previously approved the testing and deployment of self-driving smaller vehicles for commercial use last year.

North Korea’s yet-to-materialize threat of a “Christmas gift” for the United States is keeping the world on edge.

Christmas came and went with no indication of military action or even fiery rhetoric from North Korea. But U.S. officials have said they will be on high alert through New Year’s Day with the possibility the unspecified gift could be delivered at a later date.

In a sign of the global anxiety created by Pyongyang, Japanese public broadcaster NHK sent out a false alert Thursday saying North Korea had fired a missile that landed in waters east of Japan’s coastline.

Twenty-three minutes later, NHK sent out another alert saying the previous bulletin was “incorrect.” But for many North Korea watchers and those on social media, it was a very long 23 minutes.

“At this particular moment, a false alarm like this can start a war,” MIT professor Vipin Narang tweeted Thursday after apologizing for initially sharing the NHK alert.

Tensions started building earlier this month when a statement carried by North Korean state media warned it was the United States’s choice what its “Christmas gift” would be.

“What is left to be done now is the U.S. option and it is entirely up to the U.S. what Christmas gift it will select to get,” Ri Thae Song, a senior North Korean diplomat, said in the statement.

The statement did not specify what the gift might be, nor did it specify whether it would come exactly on Christmas Day or if the phrase “Christmas gift” was more of a rhetorical flourish.

The phrasing captured the public’s imagination and took off in U.S. and international media, with reports speculating what the gift could be.

The warning was also taken seriously, especially since it came after Pyongyang had given the U.S. a year-end deadline to soften its stance in denuclearization negotiations before North Korea would take a “new path.”

The top U.S. Air Force general in the Pacific region told reporters last week he expected the gift to be a long-range missile test.

“What I would expect is some type of long-range ballistic missile would be the gift. It’s just a matter of does it come on Christmas Eve, does it come on Christmas Day, does it come after the New Year,” Gen. Charles Brown, commander of Pacific Air Forces and air component commander for U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, said at a breakfast roundtable on Dec. 17.

Two engine tests this month at North Korea’s long-range rocket launch site that Pyongyang called “crucial” and “very important” also stoked speculation that the regime was preparing for a significant missile test.

CNN, citing an unnamed source “familiar with the North Korean leadership’s current mindset,” reported this week that the Christmas gift could be a new hardline policy against the United States rather than a missile test.

North Korea has adhered to a self-imposed moratorium on long-range missile tests during negotiations with the United States, though it has conducted more than a dozen-short range short-range missile tests this year.

He also raised the possibility it could be a “nice” gift.

“We’ll see what happens,” Trump told reporters. “Maybe it’s a nice present. Maybe it’s a present where he sends me a beautiful vase as opposed to a missile test.”

When Christmas Day arrived, the world was on high alert — some more seriously than others.

On Twitter, “#northkoreachristmasgift” trended Wednesday, with users making macabre jokes about a nuclear attack on the United States.

That, in turn, prompted assurances from experts not to worry.

“Seems to be many people on Twitter who think North Korea will attack America today. Please be assured that no expert or official believes the North Korea Christmas present will be an attack. It will likely be only a missile test. And not today. Enjoy your Christmas without fear,” Joe Cirincione, president of nuclear policy foundation that Ploughshares Fund, tweeted Wednesday.

Mintaro Oba, a former State Department official whose work focused on the Korean peninsula, tweeted in response to the trending hashtag: “People. Calm down. You’re going to be fine.”

“Nothing is a better demonstration of how effective North Korea’s public comms tactics are than the fact that we’re all taking the notion of a ‘Christmas present’ so literally/seriously,” Oba said in another tweet.

“I’m not sure North Korea initially intended for the ‘Christmas present’ language to signify ‘expect something right on Christmas.’ Rather, they wanted to heighten the pressure of the end of year deadline in a language they knew we’d understand. But honestly, who knows,” he added.

Military aircraft monitor Aircraft Spots tweeted Wednesday about four U.S. spy aircraft flying over or near the Korean peninsula that day.

While no missile launched on Christmas, there are still two upcoming events North Korea watchers are closely monitoring.

First, North Korea has said it will hold a rare planning meeting of top officials from the ruling party before the end of the month. Analysts expect the group will make major foreign policy decisions, such as possibly ending talks with the United States.

North Korea has also been known to take provocative action on days of national significance. Kim’s birthday is Jan. 8, but his is not a national holiday like those of his father and grandfather.

“I suspect we’ll continue to see provocations from #NorthKorea as Kim seeks to gain leverage in #nuclear negotiations,” Jean Lee, director of the Korea center at the Wilson Center in Washington, tweeted Wednesday. “But I don’t think he wants to completely shut the door to diplomacy. Will be monitoring Kim’s New Year’s Day speech for clarity on #NorthKorea’s direction in 2020.”

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Mikel Arteta has held talks with Arsenal over succeeding Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta has emerged as the number one candidate to become the Gunners’ next permanent manager, after holding a meeting with the club’s managing director Vinai Venkatesham in the early hours of Monday morning.

Goal understands that negotiations with the two parties are due to continue, with a final decision set to be reached by the end of the week.

Arteta has no previous managerial experience, but he has served as Guardiola’s assistant for three trophy-laden seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

City have won seven major honours during that time, including back-to-back Premier League titles, fully establishing themselves as the dominant force in English football while breaking all kinds of records.

Guardiola’s men will be aiming to continue their defence of the Carabao Cup when they travel to Oxford United for a quarter-final tie on Wednesday.

Despite ongoing speculation over his future, the City boss has revealed that Arteta will be joining him in the dugout at Grenoble Road, but he is not yet certain whether he will be able to continue to rely on the 37-year-old.

C’était il y a vingt ans. Après un premier jugement qui déclarait qu’Aurore Drossart était vraiment la fille d’Yves Montand, un second déclarait le contraire. La jeune femme qui témoignera le 11 mars, dans l’émission Cette semaine-là, sur France 3, est une survivante.

Un matin, une jeune chatte, à moitié écrasée, est venue se réfugier devant sa porte, comme si elle avait senti que, dans cette maison-là, on ne la laisserait pas mourir. Et Noisette, c’est ainsi qu’Aurore l’a baptisée, ne s’était pas trompée. Elle a réussi à la sauver, forçant même l’admiration du vétérinaire. Telle est Aurore Drossart. Une jeune femme qui vient en aide aux autres –humains ou animaux-, aux délaissés, aux abandonnés, qu’elle répare, comme elle-même s’est réparée durant ces 20 ans. “Je suis empathique, dit-elle. J’ai longtemps cru que c’était une faiblesse…“. Noisette, elle, n’est certainement pas de cet avis.

Pourquoi Aurore Drossart a-t-elle accepté de parler, si longtemps après ? “On a laissé croire à l’opinion publique que c’était moi qui voulais faire exhumer le corps d’Yves Montand pour prouver qu’il était mon père, alors qu’en réalité, ce sont les héritières qui ont donné leur accord, pour prouver qu’il ne l’était pas“, lâche-t-elle. “C’est important pour moi que l’on sache que je n’ai jamais demandé ça. Jamais“, insiste-t-elle.

Revenons sur les faits. Toute petite, Aurore Drossart apprend par sa maman que son papa est Yves Montand. Seulement voilà, ce dernier ne l’a pas et ne veut pas la reconnaître. Alors Aurore fait avec. Se vit parfois comme “une horreur, une erreur“. Jusqu’au jour où, découvrant une couverture de magazine sur laquelle est écrit “Montand, papa pour la première fois” (il vient d’avoir Valentin avec sa compagne Carole Amiel), la jeune fille de 14 ans, blessée, supplie sa mère de faire quelque chose. Ce sera le début d’un marathon judiciaire, qui débute en 1989.

Après cinq ans de procédure, de témoignages, deux ans d’enquêtes, après la non présentation par deux fois du chanteur et acteur à une demande de tests ADN, en 1994, le Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris rend son verdict : Yves Montand est bien le père d’Aurore Drossart.

Mais cinq ans après la mort de la star, ses ayants droits (Carole Amiel, et Catherine Allégret, la fille de Simone Signoret que le chanteur avait adoptée alors qu’elle avait 41 ans), contestent ce jugement et font appel. Et, en 1998, après des prélèvements réalisés post mortem, la cour d’appel de Paris revient sur le premier jugement et conclut finalement à la non paternité d’Yves Montand.

“Ce qui s’écroule à ce moment-là, confie Aurore Drossart, c’est ma foi en la justice. Je ne sais pas comment se passent les prélèvements d’habitude, mais là, ils n’avaient pas de masque, l’un d’entre eux fumait, à un moment, quelque chose est tombé par terre et a été mis dans un tube et scellé… J’ai vu tout ça, mais notre avocat, Maître Gilbert Collard –il s’était proposé de nous représenter gratuitement-, n’ayant pas déposé de réserve, on n’a rien pu faire, c’était trop tard.” Cette vérité, c’est la sienne. Et, vingt ans après, elle n’en démord pas.

Pas une fois, en dépit du nouveau verdict, Aurore Drossart ne doutera qu’Yves Montand est son père. Mais va commencer, pour elle, un long chemin de croix. “J’ai dû faire un sacré gros travail pour lutter contre ma haine, ma violence, ces poisons qui auraient pu me détruire car j’ai souvent eu envie de mourir“, confie-telle. Les arts martiaux vont l’aider “à savoir encaisser les coups de la vie“. Et dans les livres, les cultures, les religions, elle va chercher des réponses. Apprendre la méditation, travailler sur l’amour, la joie de vivre… “Et peu à peu, j’ai appris à sourire à la vie, avoue-t-elle. Et à pardonner. Même Catherine Allégret, j’ai fini par la comprendre.“

Hormis un travail alimentaire, Aurore Drossart est devenue une artiste sur cuir qu’elle gratte et grave. Elle termine également un livre, commencé à l’âge de dix-neuf ans. “Je ne sais pas si je trouverai un éditeur, lâche-t-elle, quand ma mère avait voulu publier le sien, par deux fois, au dernier moment, la sortie en a été bloquée“. “On verra bien…“, souffle-t-elle tandis que Noisette, toute ronronnante, vient se blottir sur ses genoux.

Si aujourd’hui, l’album est malheureusement posthume, Johnny Hallyday a espéré jusqu’à son dernier souffle pouvoir vivre jusqu’à la sortie de ce 51eme opus. Mais le sort en a décidé autrement.

Johnny Hallyday espérait tant être présent, auprès des siens, pour la sortie de ce 51ème album. Mais affaibli par un cancer des poumons, l’interprète de “Je te promets” âgé de 74 ans aura finalement perdu son combat contre la maladie. Le célèbre rockeur s’est éteint le 5 décembre dernier. Quelques jours avant sa disparition, une soirée a été organisée dans sa demeure de Marnes-la-Coquette aux côtés de ses amis les plus proches, Maxim Nucci alias Yodelice, son manager Sébastien Farran, le restau­ra­teur Claude Bouillon, l’auteur Pierre Billon, la produc­trice Anne Marcas­­sus, Philippe Fatien ou encore le comédien Vincent Lindon. Un dîner prévu pour se remémorer les bons souvenirs, et visionner les images de leur roadtrip à travers les Etats-Unis, “un bonheur pas si lointain”. Comme le rapporte la journaliste Caroline Mangez du magazine Paris Match, l’idole des jeunes était extrêmement fatiguée ce soir-là. Et pourtant, Johnny Hallyday a tenu à faire écouter les quelques titres de son dernier album. Un projet inachevé pour le rockeur : “Cet album, ce n’était pas des inédits repêchés comme pour celui sorti après la mort de Bowie, ni même le “Show Must Go On” de Freddie Mercury. En enregistrant, Johnny refusait d’envisager ne plus être là à sa sortie”, a expliqué Pierre Billon au magazine.

Durant les derniers jours de sa vie, Johnny Hallyday était très affaibli. Selon les informations du magazine, la star ne pouvait plus se déplacer qu’avec l’aide d’une chaise roulante. Il était impossible pour lui de monter les escaliers pour accéder à sa chambre. Johnny Hallyday, son épouse Laeticia et leurs deux filles Jade et Joy dormaient ensemble, dans son bureau “peuplé de souvenirs”, où étaient installés les appareils médicaux, un lit médicalisé et plusieurs matelas posés à même le sol. C’est ici-même qu’il a fermé ses yeux à jamais.
