On October 9, 2024, the 15th Five-Year Plan Compilation Office of the Machinery Industry (hereinafter referred to as the Planning Compilation Office) held its first meeting. Song Zhiming, Assistant to the President of the China Machinery Federation and Director of the Planning Compilation Office, presided over the meeting. She Weizhen, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Machinery Federation and Deputy Director of the Planning Compilation Office, and members of the Compilation Office attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yao Zhiju, deputy director of the Planning Office, reported on the work plan of the Planning Office and the research work plan. The participants discussed the plan, agreed to the plan in principle, and put forward suggestions for modification and improvement.

The meeting required that, first, we should pay close attention to the preparation of the national “15th Five-Year Plan” to ensure that the “15th Five-Year Plan” of the machinery industry obeys and serves the national plan; second, the planning preparation work should strictly follow the procedures and scientifically set node plans; third, we should widely solicit opinions and suggestions from all parties; fourth, we should strengthen the standardization and professionalism of the planning text. In addition, the planning research work should be combined with the research on the implementation of major national policies, and the research units should cover all industries in the machinery industry in principle.

In the next step, the Planning Office will actively implement the requirements of the Planning Leading Group of the China Machinery Federation, do a good job in the connection and coordination of the preparation of relevant professional plans and special plans, and draft the “15th Five-Year Plan” comprehensive plan for the machinery industry, so as to promote the smooth progress of the planning work.
